“Road Unknown” Takes You on an Exhilarating Travel Adventure

Travel shows may be a dime a dozen these days, but truly unique content that seeks out the few unknown places left around the world is rare. Enter: The Road Unknown, the brand new unscripted “reality meets travel and adventure” show that boldly takes audiences to places where only a few people have ever gone before.
By discovering new places, and pursuing activities with added twists and challenges, viewers get to experience once-in-a-lifetime adventures that will inspire them to go out and explore the world themselves. Starting in October 2022, audiences can catch “The Road Unknown” on the project’s website, on Amazon fireTV, Facebook Watch, Roku TV, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter, or YouTube.
The show is spearheaded by Ara Kirakosyan, a lifelong car enthusiast and adventure seeker, and Kelsey Rowlings, aka "Drift Chick", a Formula Drift Pro 2 competitor, an avid car enthusiast, and an adventure seeker. Both members of this dynamic duo are passionate about travel and always seeks out the unknown – that’s how they keep life exciting and memorable.
Ara, known as the apprehensive one, and Kelsey, the tomboy next door always itching to find new adventures, team up to explore undiscovered places and activities with joy and humor. Living by the quote “We have one job and one job only: find adventure!,” the team dives into thrilling trips that take audiences on a wild ride around the US, Canada, and the world.
In response to their intention with the show, Ara explains, “We want to encourage others to explore, learn, and appreciate all that life has to offer, from the smallest of moments to the grandest adventures.”
Some of the activities will include horseback riding, hot air balloon riding, ghost hunting in Napa Valley, as well as snowmobile riding in Canada. In a nutshell: the show is all about high-adrenaline activities and unusual experiences. Kicking off the series in the US, the team will be traveling from state to state in search of fun and exciting things to do. From long road trips across America’s beautiful landscapes and highways to off-road trips along challenging terrain, Ara and Kelsey will explore everything the USA has to offer.

Just when you think you have seen it all and done everything twice over, there is a fork in the road – and a surprise you would have never seen coming. This is the lesson that Kelsey is always trying to teach Ara – and the premise of their road show, Road Unknown, about fun, friendship, and pushing outside the comfort zone.
Although different in many ways, Ara and Kelsey have become the best of travel buddies because they can't get enough of the open road and all of the thrills that it has to offer. Their rapport is light, if not a little bit pointed, which means that even on the longest and flattest stretches of road, there is never a dull moment. They know how to keep the good times rolling.
Kelsey is a competitor at heart. From her childhood, spent largely on horseback, she developed a habit for the fast-paced and the rough-tumbling. She went into motorsports, becoming a professional Formula Drift driver. That career has only motivated her further, to seek out new ways to get her adrenaline pumping.
Ara, on the other hand, tends to worry about the risks a little more often. Although he is also devoted to motorsports, the thing that brought him and Kelsey together in the first place, he is quick to point out when he thinks the daredevil in Kelsey is taking things too far. Of course, even when the two travel buddies disagree on this adventure or that one, they know how to talk it out, in a way that is fun and heartwarming for everyone to see!
Then, there's Manny. He pops in briefly during every adventure. Part-butler, part-guest star, he is great for a laugh each episode too. Whether he is dumping a bucket of ice on Ara or keeping everyone out of the sun, he plays a crucial role in the series.
Every time Kelsey, Ara, and Manny get together for another iteration of Road Unknown, you get to see the spectacular, eye-popping locales they visit – and the unique and risky ways they choose to spend their time. This series is about more than just travel, though. It is about, first and foremost, the bond that adventurers develop. It's about the unbreakable connection that forms between people, as different as they may be, because of a shared experience.
The Smoky Mountains, state parks, national parks, and other attractions off-the-beaten-path: all of this and more will serve as the backdrop, of two friends wandering far and wide. To date, we have shot multiple episodes of Road Unknown. We are enjoying every minute, and we are just getting started. Our next step is to continue production, planning out our next episodes, and to find the right platform to distribute all of our episodes. We know that once people have met us and gone on a trip or two with us, they will have to see more. Adventure calls!
